Designed in the 1950s by Charles and Ray Eames, the Fiberglass DSR (Dining Height Side Chair Rod Base) was born from the union of a light and minimal metal Eiffel Tower base with a one-piece shell with an organic shape in glass resin. The Eameses introduced this material, previously unknown in the furniture sector, creating an object of true innovation capable of modeling itself to the lines of the body guaranteeing maximum comfort. The use of color was fundamental for the Eameses, which led to a detailed study of versions that are still very current today such as navy blue, yellow, dark and light ocher. The result is an iconic, timeless chair that adapts to any type of context thanks to the possibility of creating customized combinations between base and shell. Also available in other finishes.
