Bill Curry
Bill Curry was an American designer. Born in 1927, he graduated from the Los Angeles Art Center and began his career as art director of Ramo-Wooldridge Corporation, an aerospace engineering firm. Thanks to his multidisciplinary background, which included both artistic and electronic training, in 1962 he founded Design Line Inc in El Segundo, California, becoming famous for his collection of iconic lamps, characterized by the round bulb and the essentiality of the shape. Defined by the Los Angeles Time as "one of California's pioneering designers", he died in Los Angeles in 1971.
