Giopato & Coombes

Giopato & Coombes is a lighting design studio founded by Cristiana Giopato and Christopher Coombes. Cristiana, born in Treviso in 1978, graduated in Industrial Design at the Polytechnic University of Milan and in Architecture in Venice and worked with Patricia Urquiola since 2002. Christopher, born in Bristol in 1979, graduated in Industrial Design at Brunel University in London in 2001, then moved to Milan. The two met here and in 2006 they opened the Giopato & Coombes studio, focusing exclusively on the lighting sector since 2014. The aim of the studio is to create light sources capable of evoking sensations and emotions in space: "Supernatural Daydream", a daydream that surpasses what is real.
