HolmbäckNordentoft is a Danish studio founded in 2008 by Sebastian Holmbäck (1971) and Ulrik Nordentoft (1974). The two designers met at the Danish Design School in 1998 during their apprenticeships. The basis of their work is aesthetics: they give shape and identity to the products, based on customer needs. They work in interior, furniture, lighting and product design. Their Pure Black knife series designed for Stelton was awarded the Formland Design Award Spring 2011.
