Taiwan-Lantern is a Taiwanese company founded in 1951. Specialized in the production of handmade lanterns for the most important temples of the island, since 2013 Taiwan-Latern has opened up to the international market, modernizing their designs and returning to use of natural materials, making this thousand-year-old tradition dating back to Han period (1045-771 B.C.) known throughout the world. Each lantern is crafted by local artisans using materials sourced on the island.
Description-
Taken from the Chinese doctrine of the five elements Wu Xing, the Heritage Lantern collection is made with a structure in walnut and bamboo and hand-painted fabric with the colors of the natural elements, finished with Tung oil which gives it the classic satin finish. Tu, the earth, symbolizing neutrality and good luck, is represented by brown. Black indicates Shui, water, an element that embodies trust and calm. White is Jin, the metal, symbol of brightness and contentment. Light bulb not included (E27 max 40W). Right of withdrawal not applicable.
