Inga Sempé
Inga Sempé, born in Paris in 1968, is a French designer. Daughter of a Petit Nicolas cartoonist and a Danish illustrator, she graduated from ENSCI-Les Ateliers in Paris in 1993. From 2000 to 2001, thanks to a scholarship, she studied at Villa Medici at the Académie de France in Rome , later opening her own studio in Paris in the same year. She's characterized by her search for bold, contemporary and never minimalist projects. At the beginning she collaborated with brands such as Cappellini, for which she designed the Grand Plissé lamp, and Endra. Now Sempé works with Scandinavian, Italian and French companies such as Glas Italia, HAY, Ligne Roset, Røros and many others.
