Jonas Wagell
Jonas Wagell is a young Swedish architect and designer born in 1973. After studying graphic design, communication, design and architecture, he founded the JWDA studio in 2008, located in Stockholm's Old Town. His style is marked by soft, minimalist yet strongly expressive forms. His great successes include the Julep series of sofas and armchairs, made for Tacchini, a symbol of functional and essential design. His profession focuses mainly on object and furniture design, but Jonas Wagell was named by Wallpaper as "one of the 50 most fashionable young architects in the world" in 2008 for creating the "Mini House" concept, or prefabricated house. Today his work has led him to create several international collaborations that extend as far as China, Italy and North America.
