Konstantin Grcic
Konstantin Grcic is a German industrial designer. Born in 1965, he trained as a cabinetmaker at the John Makepeace School in England, then continued his studies in Design at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1991 he founded his own studio, Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design (KGID) in Munich, where he develops furniture, products and lighting for some of the leading design companies. Many of his works are part of the permanent collections of the world`s leading design museums (including MoMA in New York and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris) and have received international design awards such as the prestigious Compasso d`Oro for his MAYDAY lamp by Flos and the MYTO chair.
