Maarten De Ceulaer
Maarten De Ceulaer is a Belgian designer. Born in 1983, he studied at the Sint-Lukas Hogeschool in Brussels and then attended the Design Academy in Eindhoven. His thesis "A pile of suitcases" attracted the attention of Nina Yashar, founder of the Milanese gallery Nilufar, with whom he began to collaborate. Maarten's designs are recognizable by their playful, poetic touch and unconventional use of materials. He was awarded the Belgian Young Designer Award in 2007 and the Henry Van De Velde Award for Young Talents in 2013. He collaborates with brands such as cc-tapis, Vibia and Casamania.
