Neri&Hu

Neri&Hu Design and Research Office is a design studio founded in 2004 by Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, based in Shanghai. The historical, cultural and urban contexts of the city represent the starting point for their research and planning. The studio includes planning ranging from architecture to interior design, installation, product, furniture, branding and graphic work. It is currently made up of a staff from different countries around the world, which is essential for reinforcing the new design concept, thus incorporating different disciplines and cultures. Neri&Hu bases its research by making a detailed analysis of the particularities of the project request, from place to function, fixing its philosophy on the dynamic interaction of experience, details, materials, shapes and lights rather than adapting to a formal style. Their works have been recognized by a number of prestigious international awards.
