Paola Navone
Paola Navone, born in Turin in 1950, is one of the best known Italian designers in the world. She graduated in architecture in 1973 at the Turin Polytechnic. Her thesis "Architettura Radicale" attracted the attention of Alessandro Mendini, director of Casabella, who offered her a collaboration in the magazine. In the following years she participated in the Alchimia group together with Ettore Sottsass, Andrea Branzi and Alessandro Guerriero. In 1983 she received the Osaka International Design Award and in 1985 she opened a studio in Hong Kong. In 1988 she began her long collaboration with the Gervasoni brand, of which she is today the artistic director. At the end of the 1990s she moved her studio, called Studio Otto, to Milan.
