La Chaise is an extremely elegant armchair designed in 1948 by Charles and Ray Eames, on the occasion of a competition held at the MoMA in New York. Its organic and sculptural shape is inspired by the 1927 Floating Figure sculpture by Gaston Lachaise. The Chaise has always been considered an icon of organic design.
