Stefan Diez

Stefan Diez is a German industrial designer. Raised in a family of carpenters, he trained as a cabinet maker before studying industrial design at the Stuttgart Academy of Fine Arts. He worked with Konstantin Grcic for several years and in 2002, after graduating, he founded the DIEZ OFFICE studio in Munich, which then became an atelier and laboratory in 2008. From 2007 he began teaching in various institutes including the University of Arts and Design in Karlsruhe, Lund University and the Kunsthochschule Kassel, while since 2018 he has been Head of Industrial Design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. He collaborates with several companies including Vibia, HAY, e15 and many more.
