For fifty years, Flos has been creating objects of light and igniting generations of dreams. Founded in Merano in 1962 by Dino Gavina and Cesare Cassina, it had a period of strong growth starting in the 1970s: it acquired Arteluce, a historic Italian lighting company, inheriting Gino Sarfatti's designs, which are still produced today. In the following decades it absorbed other companies and increasingly expanded its already very rich portfolio of designer lamps. The principles of Flos have always been to associate with the masters of design, to discover new talents, to have technical and technological authority, and to insert itself into mass culture.
Description-
String Light, designed by Micheal Anastassiades, is a simple and minimal suspension lamp with a poetic spirit. The designer describes it as an electric wire that connects with the space by inserting itself precisely into the lines formed by the walls of a room. A search for essentiality that almost leads to abstraction, where shapes and materials are the protagonists. Light source included. Right of withdrawal not applicable.
