The idea for the Muir sofa was born during a trip by Hannes Peer on the coast of Northern California, during a stay in a typical modernist house overlooking Muir Beach. The interior of this house was lined throughout with Douglas fir plywood panels and cushions. The sensations and absolute comfort Peer experienced are conveyed through this particular sofa, made with a multitude of mahogany plywood sections and oversized relaxation padding. Muir fully expresses the design philosophy of its designer: concept, aesthetics and comfort. Right of withdrawal not applicable.
