Tacchini is an Italian company created in 1967 by Antonio Tacchini. All products are made in the Brianza area between Milan and Como with a strong tradition of manufacturing and craftsmanship. This allows the company direct control of their quality, minimizing pollution and energy consumption from their transportation. Tacchini has always collaborated with the great masters of design such as Achille Castiglioni and Gianfranco Frattini and still continues on a path of reissues that challenge and teach the contemporary.

Still considered today one of Frattini's most characteristic collections, Serie 500 was born from the observation of the needs of a new way of living, filtered by the designer's aesthetics. Series 500 represents a new chapter in the collaboration with the Gianfranco Frattini Archive and the history of Tacchini. Traditional elements are reinterpreted for new functions, with compartments that evoke the warmth of home. The first two reissued pieces, the Model 500/3 sideboard and the Model 500/4 high sideboard, were designed with a concept of modularity that begins with a curved wooden bench and develops with the addition of various modules in length and height.
