Maarten De Ceulaer is a Belgian designer. Born in 1983, he studied at the Sint-Lukas Hogeschool in Brussels and then attended the Design Academy in Eindhoven. His thesis "A Stack of Suitcases" caught the attention of Nina Yashar, founder of the Milan gallery Nilufar, with whom he began to collaborate. Maarten's designs are recognizable for their poetic and playful touch and unconventional use of materials. He was awarded the Belgian Young Designer Award in 2007 the Henry Van De Velde Award for Young Talents in 2013.
