GUBI since its founding in 1967 has been involved in the design and development of iconic and timelessly designed products often reissuing past masterpieces that are often forgotten. Over the years the two founders, architects Gubi and Lisbeth Olsen, have created an extensive collection of furniture putting into production pieces of design history from the 1930s to the present. The intent is to produce and carry forward timeless design through guidelines such as innovation, functionality and quality.
Description-
Designed by American designer Bill Curry in 1971, GUBI reissues Obello in an outdoor edition. Inspired by the organic shape of the mushroom, the lamp is designed to be composed in one piece. The mouth-blown frosted glass shade and dimmable soft light create a welcoming atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. Obello provides up to 40 hours of light and is rechargeable in just a few hours. Light source included.
