The Muir Sofa, designed by Hannes Peer for SEM, was inspired by a trip along the Northern California coast, during a stay in a modernist house overlooking Muir Beach. The house, entirely covered in Douglas fir plywood, exuded a sense of calm and serenity, thanks to the scent of the wood and the softness of the cushions. These sensations of absolute comfort were transposed into the design of the Muir Sofa, made with a multitude of sections of mahogany-stained plywood and generous padding for optimal relaxation. The Muir Sofa fully expresses the design philosophy of its designer, combining concept, aesthetics and comfort.
SEM
Eight series collections with the quality of a limited edition, designed and made in Italy. Seven designers who share an artisanal approach to design and refinement of details. This is the soul of SEM, a private label born in 2018 to realize thirty years of experience in retail and interior design. SEM translates its philosophy of living into a refined and multifaceted line of furniture, where elegance is also a symptom of the intelligence of the construction solutions. A proposal rich in sartorial details, with a constant attention to the functionality and contemporaneity of industrial design.
