Ingo Maurer
Ingo Maurer was a German designer and entrepreneur, born in Reichenau in 1932, founder of the homonymous brand that specializes in the production of designer lighting. After a career as a typographer between Germany and Switzerland and his studies in graphic design in Munich, Ingo founded his brand in 1960, which is still active today in the production of elegantly designed and functional lamps, despite his passing in 2019. He was the winner of several awards, such as the Munich Design Prize in 1999 and the Compasso d'Oro in 2011, as well as being named Royal Designer of Industry by the Royal Society of Arts in London in 2005.
